Something we'd like to implement alongside the movie rentals in January is a Membership Card. This would be a one-time fee to be able to rent movies for $1/week (non-members will be $5/week), receive our monthly newsletter and take part in special sales and promotions. There's a survey over on the left column of the site and we'd appreciate some feedback.
Now let's be honest - the store isn't much to look at right now, we know that. But God is so very clearly building something big here and this is a great way to be a part of it! You don't open a Christian bookstore to make the big bucks - you do it because you want to be an outpost of Christ's kingdom in the community and see His Word go forth (at least that's why we did it anyway)! We eagerly look forward to the day when Jaffrey Bible House can co-sponser/support missions trips and host bible studies, worship concerts and other Christ-focused events. How are we going to get there from here? No idea! Has God blessed this place beyond our wildest expectations? Yes! Do we seek to honor Him every step of the way? Absolutely! Is it difficult for God to cause this ministry to flourish in the face of all odds? Not in the least! That's pretty much what He does, friends!
We also open every day here in prayer, but we do have a time on Fridays (12pm-1pm) of corporate prayer to anyone who wants to stop by. It's a great time to fellowship and see what God's doing in His church, but it's also a great time to praise Him for who He is - our loving Savior and merciful God!
